You probably guessed that this one is related to a metro. There are some things that are socially acceptable to do when you're riding the metro, and there are some things that aren't. For example:
- You can't drink alcohol on the metro (at least in the USA). If you drink alcohol while taking metronidazole, it causes a disulfiram-like reaction. If you're not sure what that means, look up disulfiram's brand name, "Antabuse."
- It's not socially acceptable to breastfeed on the metro (again, in the USA). I'm not saying I agree with this one, and actually, don't even get me started on how wrong I think this is. However, metronidazole is contraindicated in breastfeeding women.
- There are a lot of rules related to riding the metro. If you ride the metro when you're pregnant, though, that's totally fine! Metronidazole can be prescribed to a pregnant patient.
